Featured in Utah Valley Bride: The Carter’s Wedding at Walker Farms
Madi and Landon’s wedding was one for the books — and I was lucky enough to provide the music and energy through Moment Entertainment that carried their celebration into the night. Their story and stunning bow-filled design were featured in Utah Valley Bride, and I wanted to share my perspective on such a memorable day.
A Love Story Years in the Making
Madi and Landon first met as kids living down the street from each other. Even after Landon’s family moved away, their moms stayed close, and eventually the two teens went on a “mandatory” date at sixteen. What started reluctantly turned into a lasting love that carried through high school, into college, and eventually to a Christmas proposal under glowing string lights.
Though both families were from Arizona, they chose Utah for their wedding — a decision that gave them the perfect setting for both their sealing at the Bountiful Temple and their reception at Walker Farms.
Details Tied in Bows
The day’s theme was unmistakable: bows. Everywhere. From the napkins to the chairs, the décor tied the entire celebration together. Madi’s Frankie Jane gown carried delicate bows down the back, and she added two large custom bows for the reception. Even the candles in their final private dance glowed with bows tied around them.
Music & Meaningful Moments
One of the most touching surprises came during the first dance when Madi’s sister sang a mash-up of God Bless the Broken Road and Can’t Help Falling in Love. Watching the couple realize it was her brought tears to the entire room.
From there, the dance floor lit up. Madi had been nervous about whether people would really dance — but her words after the wedding say it all:
“It turned into a huge dance party, and everyone said it was their favorite part of the night!” – Madi
That’s the kind of feedback I love to hear as a DJ and MC. The dance floor became the heartbeat of the evening, and the celebration carried all the way to their private candlelit last dance — a quiet, romantic way to end a night full of energy and joy.
Family First
What stood out most about Madi and Landon’s day was how deeply they included their families. They moved their wedding date so Madi’s brother could attend before leaving on his mission. Her father officiated their ring ceremony, her little sisters were flower girls, and live harp music added a personal, timeless touch.
Final Thoughts
Madi shared advice that’s worth repeating: don’t lose sight of the big picture. The little details may feel overwhelming in the planning stages, but what guests remember are the heartfelt moments — the vows, the dances, the laughter, and the joy.
As their DJ and MC, I was grateful to help create the flow and energy so they could fully enjoy it. Their wedding wasn’t just bow-tied — it was beautifully tied together in every way.
