Whether it’s an intimate wedding or a large-scale party, his attention to every detail—from flow to ambiance—is what clients rave about.

He’s not just a DJ or MC—he’s often the unspoken showrunner: building timelines, managing logistics, adjusting in real time, and filling in the gaps before anyone even knows they exist. His presence brings clarity, momentum, and polish to events of all kinds.

Deeply passionate about culture and communication, Teardrop is also a developing polyglot. Already fluent in both English and Español, he’s actively studying languages from his heritage and beyond—Deutsch, Diné, Français, Gaelg, Português. His goal is to connect more deeply with people—both on and off the dance floor—by speaking their language and understanding their cultural pulse.

When he’s not producing events or mixing under the Moment Entertainment banner, Teardrop resides in Mapleton, Utah, with his wife and four children. He believes every moment deserves the right track—whether DJing a wedding, road-tripping with family, working on yard projects, or simply winding down. Music enhances everything. And Teardrop lives to craft those moments that people remember—long after the last song ends.

Joshua John Teare, known professionally as Teardrop, is an American DJ, MC, event producer, and Moment Master. With a career spanning over two decades, Teardrop isn’t just known for his skills behind the decks—he’s recognized for orchestrating unforgettable experiences from start to finish. As a Moment Master, he blends music, hosting, coordination, and atmosphere control to shape the energy of every event he touches.

Born and raised in San Ramon, California, Teardrop came up in the emerging musical landscape of the Bay Area, immersed in trance, techno, and house  that sparked his love for rhythm and emotion. His sets now stretch across genres and decades, allowing him to build dynamic, cross-cultural, open-format mixes that move the people—crafted in real time and always with intentionality.

  • Yes, of course! We welcome song requests from you and your guests to ensure the music reflects your preferences and the atmosphere you want. 🎵

  • 1-2 hours before the event begins to set up our equipment, touch base, and conduct sound and lighting checks. ☑️

  • Absolutely, we offer music services for ceremonies, receptions, and any other special moments during your event. ☑️

    Each part of the agenda deserves the right level of energy, which is measured between 1 and 5, where 1 is calm instrumental music and 5 is a total dancing banger. Most music, for example, will range between 2 and 4. ⚡️

  • We have a vast music library and can cater to a wide range of genres, from pop and rock to hip-hop, EDM, and more. We'll work with you to create the perfect playlist, including what you do not want to hear.

  • Teardrop is skilled at seamless transitions between songs to maintain a continuous flow of music and keep the energy up. 💥

    The more technical abilities include, but are not limited to—and generally have more than one applied—the following:

    Beat-matching, phrasing, EQ mixing, crossfading, filtering, FX and samples, key mixing, looping, scratching, a-cappella/instrumental/acoustic mixes. ⚡️

  • We have worked at numerous venues in the area and are familiar with the setup and acoustics. If we haven't been to your venue before, we'll visit it in advance to ensure everything goes smoothly. 😊

  • Our cancellation policy is outlined in our contract, which we can provide upon booking. Generally, we require advance notice and may have a cancellation fee, but we are understanding of unforeseen circumstances.

    Half of the booking amount is due to reserve your event window with our services.
